Catterick Garrison Martial Arts is the home of Team Shotai Kai and holds classes for all ages and abilities from 4 years

Catterick Garrison Martial Arts was set up by Mick Nokes in 1999 whilst serving with the military in Catterick.  The club has classes for all abilities and ages with no reserve, offering classes in both Traditional and Modern Martial Arts.  The club is open as detailed below:

Monday: 

Ladies Boxercise

Tuesday:

1730 - 1815hrs  -  Little Dragons  (4 - 6 years)  This class is open to the younger students and is aimed at building confidence, co-ordination, consentration and discipline in a fun manner with lots of games and play based activities.

1830 - 1930hrs  -  Shotai Kai Juniors  (7 - 15 years)  This class teaches Pyung Ahn Tang Soo Do, including takedowns and grappling skills from Judo and Jui-Jitsu.  It is aimed at preparing the children to be able to defend themselves from attack and bullying.  Also in the syllabus are taught several weapons such as the Nunchaku, Tonfa and Jo Staff.  Students are able to grade from white to Junior Dan Grade.

1930 - 2130hrs  -  Adults MMA  (16 - .......)  This class covers all aspects of fight training including kickboxing skills, Muay Thai, Grappling, Wrestling, Jui-Jitsu, Atemi-Jui-Jitsu, Judo, as well as body conditioning and fitness.  There is no official grading syllabus for this class as all skills are reality based with fighters testing their skills by entering the Cage to compete.  Fighters representing the club are known as Team Shotai Kai.
